"Summer has ended and WOW have we been busy! We were able to wrap up our Lake Ontario tour during the second week of September, very pleased with the health of the Ontario fishery, the health & numbers of Kings around & a VERY strong Brown Trout population. As per usual on the East end of Ontario we did fight the wind a bit, cancelling a couple of trips but over all happy customers & lots of sore arms & BIG smiles! We are preparing to winterize the Flashpoint and put her away for the winter as we speak. We are looking forward to another very busy year again next season, on this great new boat that we are so pleased to have as part of our current fleet!
We are smack dab in the middle of the fall Bass & Pike blitz here on Champlain & local Vermont waters as we run trips on our 20 foot Starcraft! Cool air has arrived as well as the brilliant fall colors our region is known for! The water temps are dropping nicely, turning on a nice bite of some really good Largemouths, mixed with some Smallmouths & Northerns. We haven't seen the really big Northerns or "Gators" quite yet, but that will change as the waters continue to cool! If your in the market for a TROPHY Northern Pike, October is the time! Also a fabulous time to see the Smallmouth blitz on Champlain, the Bronzebacks will be gorging them selves as the prepare for winter! We have also moved the drift boat back out to Altmar at the headwaters of the Salmon River as we have a few King Salmon trips coming up, but more so look forward to November & December when the Steelhead fishing takes off in earnest! With great numbers of Steelies out in the Main Lake this summer, this should translate to another awesome river season! Give us a shout & get your dates booked, come enjoy the scenery and world-class fishery the Salmon River is known for!"
